STUDENT TUTORIAL SITES
The trick to all of these sites is to make sure that you play with them ahead of time on the computers that your students will use.  Many of them use Java and JavaScript, a program to develop these types of games.  If your computer doesn't support that, then the game/activity won't work.

FUNBRAIN.COM has a cute math drill speed game for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. You need a faster connection, since it redraws after each entry. The "Change Maker" game is invaluable for our Adult Basic Education students and Basic Math students.

The Math Page by Lawrence Spector has five math tutorials from arithmetic to pre-calculus.  They have self-checking worksheets at the bottom of each chapter that could be assigned for practice.

The Math Forum, by Drexel University, has student and teacher resource links.  They offer a "Problem of the Week" page, puzzle page,  "Ask Dr. Math" and this brain teaser "Beat the Calculator" along with many other references.

QuickMath has a series of math tools. Students can graph equations and solve equations for Algebra concepts and above. The tools are the focus. It is a small site with a nice links page.

One can never have too many examples and demonstrations on fractions. VisualFractions.com believes fractions are easier to understand if one can see them graphically. As one works through the problem it builds a pie chart or graphical representation.

Math Glossary at Harcourtschool.com uses moving images as well as text to define math terminology. The students can use this at home and at school when they are not in their academic software.
