Thuy Le

About Me

I am Thuy Le. I was born and raised in Vietnam. I have two sisters and two brothers. We live together with my parents. My country is small. Its shape looks like the letter "S", and it is on the west side of the Pacific Ocean. During many years of the war, the people of my country became poor and lost many human rights. They have to work hard for food and clothes.

Some years ago, I followed my husband to the United States. At first I had difficulty in my life, but now everything is better, although I often miss my country and my family. My husband is a machinist and my daughter goes to middle school. I used to work at a company for five years, but now I am unemployed because of economic problems in the United States. Instead of staying home, I go to school to learn English. There are many students in my class. We speak different native languages, but we all are classmates learning English together. My teacher always gives examples to explain difficult words. She is very kind-hearted.

I hope all of you will think like me. If we have spare time, we should go to school to learn more English and expand our knowledge. Once again, I wish one day the economy will become better, so everybody may have a job and our life may be happier.
