My Life in Vietnam
I was born and grew up in a village. After high school, I got into the medical technician school in Saigon. I lived there for 12 years for my study and my work. When I was a student, I lived in the dorm with my classmates. We got along well while we lived together. I still remember, on the weekends, the boys in my school came and waited for the girls in front of the gate of the dorm for their date. At that time, I didn't have much money; I had a hard life. I had to study and earn money at the same time.
When I graduated from this school, I started working for a hospital. I worked in the lab. I drew blood from patients and found out their disease.
My husband was my classmate in high school. After that, he left Vietnam for the USA. Eleven years later, he came back to Vietnam and married me, and now I have been living in the USA for a year. We have a happy life, but sometimes I still miss my old friends in Saigon.
