Hang Le

My Life

My name is Hang Le. I'm from Saigon, Vietnam. I have been married for 11 years, and I have a 10-year-old daughter.

I left Vietnam for California on Sep. 30, 1999. I'm living in San Jose now because I like the weather of California. It's wonderful.

And I like the life in the United States because everybody either goes to work or goes to school. I like the many opportunities for education, chances for success and convenience for life. On the other hand, the people here are not as warm as the people in my country. When I lived in Vietnam, I hardly made ends meet, but I had spare time at night to watch television and videos together with my family. Here, I have no time for dinner with my family. Now I miss my country, my brothers, my sisters and all my nephews and my niece.
