My Life

My name is Cuc Nguyen. I was born in a poor family. I graduated from college in Vietnam. My life was miserable because I had to go to work and take care of my brother. I had a good job when I was twenty years old. Ten years later, I met a man who is my husband now. We got married and I had one daughter.

My family arrived in the US about one year ago. I was surprised at the technology and the public transportation when I first came here. I started a new life with a lot of difficult problems such as the language, telephone, post office, and transportation. Because no one understood me, I had to repeat and repeat. Right now, I work as a technician in a doctor's office. I also go to an ESL class in the morning. In the future, I hope to have a better life.
