Baongoc Vu

My Life

My name is Baongoc Vu. I'm from Vietnam. My native country is small but very beauriful. It's on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean. I was born and grew up in a learned family. There are four people in my family: my father, my mother, my brother and me. My father and my mother both taught at the university. My brother and I are also university graduates. My parents are the best parents I now. They love us very much.

Many years ago, vietnamese people lived difficult lives: through war, poverty, hunger, lack of warm clothes... Life today is very different from the past. Even though life is still hard, it's peaceful and happy.

I have been living in the USA for one year. I hope that "go to USA" was the correct decision. For me, "go to USA" means I have to leave my parents, my brother, my friends, and my favorite job. In the USA, I have my family instead. My children have better conditions to develop well. I miss my parents, my brother, and my friends. I usually call them and talk about the USA--the people, scenery, weather, schools, hospitals... I think that everything in the USA is wonderful. I love the USA. I'm trying to study English well. Plus with my knowledge of economics and computers, I will have many chances to do a good job, and have a better life. The USA will be my second native country.
