CALLIGRAPHY
Come learn the art of beautiful lettering.  Your new skill will be useful on cards, posters, announcements, invitations and correspondence.  No prior experience necessary.  Beginners will learn italic script (chancery cursive); intermediates will work on an alphabet of their own choice.  Lots of individual attention.  Supply list available at the first class meeting.

CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING
Learn the philosophy and techniques of Chinese Brush Painting.  You will develop your skills and painting ability as you progress in an orderly manner through the phases of this traditional art form.  Create lovely projects with subjects such as bamboo, birds, flowers and landscapes.  All levels welcome.  Much individual assistance.

CLAY CREATIONS

Learn to make porcelain dolls from start to finish.  The process is similar to ceramics work.  Clean, polish, china paint, and assemble your own precious doll.  Sew clothes for your doll or ask a friend to sew for you.

MIXED MEDIA
This unique Art Workshop will provide a broad base of art instruction, which will develop your skills in a range of artistic techniques.  Using a variety of art techniques, you will expand your ability to express color, composition and design.  You will have the opportunity to experiment with a number of art applications such as landscape, still life, portrait and contour drawing.  Curriculum is sequenced, please enter class at beginning of term.

FELDENKRAIS
Improve coordination and quality of movement naturally.  This series of gentle movements will help you discover more comfortable and effective ways to complete everyday movements.  The lessons involve small movements on the floor, which relieve stress and contribute to a greater sense of well being, improvement in the neck, shoulders, and other areas of the body.
