Using This Site

If you would like, you can search through this site by clicking any of the five stars at the top of the page. We suggest that you visit the links (the pages you go to when you click one of the stars) in a certain order. This will help you slowly understand the site and the information you need to pass the interview process. First, we will explain each page:

Home:

The first page of this Web site, an introduction to the site.

Important Info: The page that introduces the following three links.

1. Using This Site:

This page (the page you are visiting now).

  2. Other Sites: The Other Sites page provides links to other Web sites that can help visitors prepare to become citizens.

Test Preparation: The page that introduces the following two links.
  1. 100 USCIS Questions: The 100 USCIS Questions page under the Test Preparation section allows visitors to see each of the 100 questions immediately but to see an answer only by purposely bringing it up. You can keep the page open while you visit other pages at this site, using it as the central page you work from.
  2. Categories: The Categories page divides the 100 USCIS questions into 28 categories. The links on the page connect to other pages within this site that help visitors study the 100 USCIS questions and other information necessary for passing the interview process.
  3. The Interview The Interview page connects visitors to a dictation activity where they listen to recorded sentences and try to type them correctly. This activity is similar to the writing activitiy in the real USCIS interview, except that in the real interview the interviewer reads the sentence(s) and the applicant writes on paper.

Practice Tests: The page that introduces the following two links.

1. Tests and Quizzes of Multiple Categories:

The Tests and Quizzes of Multiple Categories page provides links that connect visitors to tests that cover many of the categories used for this site.

  2. Quizzes of Specific Categories: The Quizzes of Specific Categories page provides links that connect visitors to quizzes that cover just one category or subject.

Printouts: The page that introduces the following two links.
1. 100 USCIS Questions: The 100 USCIS Questions page under the Printouts section allows visitors to print out the 100 questions if theyhave access to a printer.
2. USCIS Interview: The USCIS Interview page is an example of a simple USCIS citizenship interview that visitors can print out if they have access to a printer.

We suggest that, after visiting this page, you go to the Test Preparation link and visit the 100 USCIS Questions page. Read each question and try to answer each one before you look at the answer.

The first time you visit the 100 USCIS questions page, it might be better to stay on the page until you have read and answered all 100 questions. Afterwards, you should go back to question 1 and follow the links for each question. You will have several links to follow. It is better if you can follow all the links: the links that are about the 100 questions and the links that are not about the 100 USCIS questions.

All of the information that you can link to from the 100 USCIS Questions page you can also link to from the Categories page. Try visiting web pages from both the Categories page and the 100 USCIS Questions page to see from which page you are most comfortable navigating.

As you move from link to link in the Test Preparation section you will occasionally see links to some of the quizzes; take these quizzes if you wish. Also, if you feel comfortable you can visit the Practice Tests link at any time to take any of the quizzes and tests available. However, you might feel more comfortable taking quizzes and tests in the areas you have just studied.

Finally, you can visit the Printouts page to get paper copies of the study material, especially the 100 USCIS Questions.
