TEACHER/EARLY CHILDHOOD
DEVELOPMENT (LAB) *

| This course is
designed to
provide students with a practicum experience in an education setting.
Its
primary purpose is to broaden the student's understanding of young
children
through career awareness. The course will utilize planning, presenting
and
evaluation of age-appropriate activities to reinforce the concepts of
child
development. Students taking this course must have completed or be
enrolled
in the School Child Care Worker (Lecture). |

| * NOTE: 150
hours of laboratory time to be arranged
with instructor. Laboratory classes offered only during the day time at
ESUHSD
Children Centers. To earn a certificate, students must complete 95
hours
of lecture and 150 hours of laboratory time with a grade of A or B in
both
lecture and lab. |
- Certificate will
give student
college credit at San Jose City or DeAnza Colleges.
- Students are
assigned
to lab classes for 150 hours at one of the following locations:
Andrew Hill,
James
Lick, Mt. Pleasant, Santa Teresa, Yerba Buena,
Overfelt, Evergreen, Foothill or Independence Children's Centers.
